![]() ![]() Initially I thought that this foundation looked so much better on natural lighting, but as the day ended, I saw myself looking so pink! Despite me mixing the shades ( I added more of the Golden Beige and just a hint of the Soft Beige), it was too light and too pink for my yellow undertone. So where’s the “NO FLASHBACK” or “FLAWLESS FINISH” claim? Hmm. The photo on the right was set with a translucent powder and still had a FLASH BACK. The photo on the left shows the only the foundation on my skin. So let’s test the product under different light exposure: Natural, Artificial and under Flash Photo so we could SEE if the claims are indeed TRUE! It didn’t appear cakey, felt lightweight was it sat on my skin and instantly evened out my skintone. The finish of the foundation was a little tacky so I opted to set it with a translucent powder. It did cling on to dry patches on my skin and settled on fine lines under my eyes. It covered most of my hyperpigmentations, redness and some breakouts. I prefer using a dense brush in applying this foundation since it was more on watery/runny type in consistency. Product Claims: No flashback’ or ‘flawless’ or ‘perfect’.Ĭoverage was light and build-able to medium. Unfortunately at my local Walgreens, they only had a few left so I picked up the shades Gold Beige and Soft Beige hoping that if I mixed both I would come up with the perfect shade.įor the full list of ingredients and product claims click here!Īs you guys could see, the Golden Beige shade was more on the yellow tone and the Soft Beige came off more light to pinkish in my opinion. The spatula type applicator was stiff and plastic in material along with the cap. oz/ 30 ml of the product. The packaging came in a glass bottle making it easier to check the shades if it would a match my skin. Purchased at Walgeens for $6.Ĭontained 1 fl. The Photo Focus stick doesn’t feel as expensive as the Vanish Stick from Hourglass or the MUFE HD stick it kind of feels like a drugstore foundation. It looked seamless and the formula felt breathable, even though it was covering everything I needed it to. Even though it tugged a bit on the skin upon application, once it was blended out, I noticed my complexion was brightened and my skin tone was evened out. I noticed it lasting all day without budging, fading, or feeling dry on my skin. I saw some reviews stating it sat atop the skin, but I think it looked really natural. It really does feel lightweight on the skin. To my pleasant surprise, the stick wasn’t as heavy, and I think I like it even better than the liquid. I like that foundation a lot, but I’m not a full-coverage girl day to day. Initially I thought this was going to be really thick and full coverage like Wet ‘n Wild’s liquid Photo Focus foundation. I was able to find a good shade match for me, the lightest shade ‘Alabaster.’ For example, the Maybelline Super Stay didn’t launch a ton of shades, but there was a lot of range in the color selection. It could be different IRL, but I think the shade range lacks in diversity. However, the swatches online seem like it focuses heavily on those medium shades and lack in tan and deep shades. There’s 21 shades, which is a fairly decent amount for the drugstore, in my opinion. For maximum coverage, use a dense brush and build where needed. The brush I prefer the WW Photo Focus foundation with is my Sephora Pro Airbrush #55, which is a dome shaped brush with longer bristles. Naturally, you get a more subtle level of coverage with a sponge, but it looked flawless. I applied it with both a brush and a beauty sponge, and liked the finish both ways. I’d say this is a solid medium coverage that’s buildable. Once applied on the skin, I do agree that it blends to a matte finish but not in a chalky way. However, even though it’s stiff and tugs just a bit, it blends out easily onto the skin. The formula is stiffer than I thought it was going to be it’s not as creamy as the MUFE formula. So you get nearly as much product in the Photo Focus foundation stick as you do in the Hourglass Vanish Stick for a drastically lower price tag - which is awesome! But only if it’s good. For comparison sake, here’s how the WW Photo Focus stick compares in size to some other stick foundations: ![]()
